“If I’m Jame Harden, I can’t expect them people to give me another five year for 250 million dollar, dog!” – Kenyon Martin hare hi opinion on Sixer tar’ contract drama, call hi demand unrealitic

Former NBA player Kenyon Martin shared his thoughts on the James Harden trade situation, suggesting that Harden should be realistic about his value in the league.

“If Im James Harden, I cant expect them people to give me another five years for 250 million dollars, dog! Could give a f**k what he tell me at the dinner table. If Im being honest…He tell me that sh*t, Im leaving that meeting thinkin hes a f**kin liar.”

Martin emphasized that expecting another five years and a $250 million contract might not be realistic, and he questioned why a team would offer such a deal based on Harden’s recent performance.

“If I’m James Harden, I can’t expect them people to give me another five years for 250 million dollars, dog! Could give a f**k what he promise me at the dinner table. If I’m being honest, he tell me that sh*t, I’m leaving that meeting thinkin’ he’s a f**kin’ liar… If I’m being honest with myself in his situation, everything I’ve put on the table, why would someone sign me for another five years with the maximum amount of money they can give me? We’re naive.”

On Gil’s Arenas show, Martin had expressed similar sentiments, stating that the LA Clippers might not become a better basketball team with Harden. He stressed the importance of maintaining a cohesive unit and focusing on winning the championship.

“Does he make them a better basketball team? … Not better than they are now. I like James but we’re talking basketball here,” Martin said on the Gil’s Arena. “I ain’t got time to be f*cking gambling and experimenting sh*t right now if I’m the Clippers if I’m being honest. I don’t.”

In response to Martin’s comments, Gilbert Arenas argued that Harden’s statistics from the previous season, where he averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game, suggest he is still worthy of a max contract. The 76ers’ asking price for Harden also reflects his value in the eyes of the team.
